New York Times: Home

How do you activate your subscription?

• Go to accessnyt.com
• In the "Find School" box, search for and select Palm Beach State College
• Complete the registration using your PBSC email address
• IMPORTANT STEP!!!  Check your school email inbox for an activation link from the NYTimes.com, and, click on it to activate your subscription
• Navigate to nytimes.com

How long does the subscription last?

• Once registered, students have access until 12/31 of the graduation year they choose when registering.
• Faculty and staff have 4 years of full account access, after which they must re-authenticate by visiting accessnyt.com.

Palm Beach State College students, faculty, and staff have free access to The New York Times courtesy of the Library.

First, go to accessnyt.com and create an account using your PBSC email.  After your account is activated, the next time you want to access The New York Times you can go to NYTimes.com and log in, if necessary.  

Your subscription includes:

• Unlimited access on NYTimes.com  (There is no daily limit to the number of articles you can download)
• Archives (dating back to 1851)  timesmachine.nytimes.com/browser (5 PDF article downloads from Times Machine per user per day)
• Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality - found in the app; NYT stories told through enhanced technology
• Daily 360 content - two dimensional, 360º views (with mobile device or using a mouse)
• Podcasts (including The "Daily" podcast)
• All multimedia, including video, photography, VR features, and new multimedia to come
• Newsletters (there are a variety of topics that you may subscribe to)
• Spanish and Mandarin Chinese versions of NYTimes.com
• Unlimited access to two great learning tools:  The New York Times inEducation website and The Learning Network (nytimesineducation.com and nytimes.com/learning)

Download The New York Times app.  

After installing the app, log in with your Palm Beach State College email and the password you used when you first activated your account.
