Is there a fee?
Yes. Contact the Testing Center where you plan to take the HESI exam. The total cost for the HESI is $78, which includes the $30 proctoring fee and $48 test fee. How you pay will depend on the campus and the exam you are taking.
What else do I need to know?
The HESI A2 test may be taken every 61 days but not more than 3 times per calendar year.
PBSC administers the entire exam (9 sections) or the math section only.
HESI A2 Student Instructions
1. All Students Must Create a Student Evolve Account before arriving at the Testing Center:
- Test applicants are required to set up an Evolve account with the vendor, Elsevier.
- You should only create one Student Evolve account through Elsevier. If your information changes, just update your account. (You will need an active PBSC student email account to register.)
- After registering, an email with your user name and password will be sent to your student email account.
- This email will need to be printed and brought with you at the time of your test appointment.
- Students without an active Student Evolve Account will not be eligible to test.
How to Register for an Evolve Account
You must have an Evolve account with Elsevier, the exam sponsor, in order to register and pay for the HESI A2.
- Go to the Evolve home page
- Select I'm a student
- Select Register for Distance Testing under HESI Secured Exams
- Select Register for this now on the HESI registration page to put HESI registration in your cart
- Select Redeem/Checkout
- Enter your name, email address and an account password to create your Evolve account
- Read the Registered User Agreement
- Select Yes, I accept
- Select Submit

3. Accommodation requests:
- You are required to contact The Center for Student Accessibility Managers (on the campus where you will be taking the test) a minimum of two weeks prior to your testing date to request accommodations.
