How to Access Films on Demand

To access the Statistics Film Video Collection, you must be logged in either through PantherWeb with your student ID or with your borrower ID number and PIN. See log-in instructions, or, visit the Library for help in getting started.

Once you have access to Films on Demand, look to the upper left for the "Menu". You can use this drop down menu to search for "Mathematics". There are over 400 videos that include Mathematics and Statistics.

Streaming video from large and small production companies covering a wide range of subjects to enhance college courses. These videos include public performance rights that allow them to be used in the educational setting.

Against All Odds: Inside Statistics Series
This Annenberg series of 32 video modules introduces statistical topics in real-world context, visiting locations where people from all walks of life use statistics in their work. Starting with descriptive statistics, the course continues through probability and inference. Examples range from finding patterns in lightning strikes, to examining possible genetic resistance to deadly Lassa fever in West Africa, to linking DDT to the decline of peregrine falcons. Scientist and researcher Pardis Sabeti hosts the series.
