Check out the sources used for "Silence is not Golden", as well as more materials celebrating Women's History Month

Synopsis

March 11th, 1911 saw the first International Women’s Day celebrated, and now, the month of March is recognized as Women’s History Month. It celebrates the remarkable women, both past and present, and women’s achievements made throughout history. From ancient times to modern, women have held positions of power, fought in wars, were responsible for households, held careers, and made countless important discoveries. Women have fought, and continue to fight, for progress and rights for themselves. They have never been silent and will continue to march forward to a better future. This display celebrates milestones, triumphs, and details exceptional figures from history, but they are far from the only notable individuals. All women should be remembered and applauded, and all must remember, like the women before them, to remain strong in the face of adversities and to never be silent.
