Choose an event that occurred between 1920 and 1990 and brought about a social change in the United States. The event may have affected the economy (The Great Depression), civil rights (Civil Rights Act of 1964), entertainment (music of the Beatles, rap music), foreign policy (Viet Nam, the 2nd World War), fashion (mini skirt, bikini), or it can be an invention (frozen dinner, tv, radio, refrigerator, air conditioning).
You need a minimum of 2 sources (You cannot use Wikipedia or any other encyclopedia as a source).
This essay (700-900 words) will be due on 4/10. You will develop it according to the following plan:
A. State the conditions that were present at the time the event occurred.
B. Either tell what caused the event OR give the effects of the event. DO NOT DO BOTH.
