Essential Ophthalmic Resources: Books and eBooks

The online catalog helps you find books, e-books, DVDs, streaming media and  more. (The databases are still the best for finding magazine, newspaper and journal articles.) 

To Access the Library's Catalog and Online Databases:

1. Start at the College's web page:  https://www.palmbeachstate.edu
2. Type "LIBRARY" in the search box and click on the search icon.
3. Click on the link for the Library's web page:  https://www.palmbeachstate.edu/library
4. On the Library web page, click on "Search the Library" or "Search the Databases." 

In Canvas, Click on the Library Link

• For print books or ebooks, choose the "Search the Library" link
• Type  in a search term--it can be a topic, the title of a book, or an author's name and click the search icon
• If you want to search only one campus, click on "Library" on the left side under "Tweak your results" to select your preferred campus
• For print books, click on "Available on Shelf" under "Availability"  
• To find eBooks, click  on "Advanced Search," enter your search terms, and choose "Books" under material type.  After the results appear, click on "Available online" under "Availability"

The following books are available in a digital format.  You will be asked to logon in order to read these books. 

Most of these books can be located in the Ophthalmology Book Collection (OVID) in the A-Z Databases list.  (If the link in the catalog fails to work, please go directly to the database and search for the title under "Books".)
