Figures

The following example shows a figure in MLA format.  Figures often start with a short description and then the full citation information.  Always confirm the preferred format for images with your professor.

Example:

Florida panther at night

Tables

Tables are typically numbered followed by a descriptive title for the table.  The citation is below the table after the word "Source".  Always confirm the preferred format for tables with your professor.

Example:
