Palm Beach County Tech Conference

Travis Allen, a very engaging young college student, presented a seminar on “A Student Perspective on 21st Century Learning.” Travis is currently a sophomore at Kennesaw State University and has created the iSchool Initiative in 2009 to explore the educational potential of mobile technologies in the classroom.

Travis introduced his concept in a video that is worth watching... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68KgAcx_9jU&feature=player_embedded …food for thought…

And he also has a blog worth reading at http://blog.ischoolinitiative.com/

Rushton Hurley is the founder of Next Vista for learning, which houses a free library of videos by and for teachers and students at http://NextVista.org. He also has a great list of Powerful and Free Tools for Teachers and Students.

Steve Dembo is always a favorite presenter at this conference. I particularly love his Top 10 Web 2.0 suggestions .
